My view of a Christian worldview is very much like that of John Calvin in the sense that when we look at the world, or anything in connection to our lives, it should be through the lens of the Bible.

As we walk day to day, God should be on our minds. We are not to judge others who disagree with us, nor should we think we are better than anyone else, but we should use our Biblical lens to see if something is Biblical or not. Now using that worldview in history is to see if it was biblically correct in ethics. Like our professor states, "a Christian worldview is not trying to attach Biblical reference to every historical fact. A Christian worldview is not only looking at history and seeing Christians, it also is not trying to figure out what God is doing in every event." I think the most important part of a Christian worldview of history is seeing history according to the facts. It is so easy to try to read into an even to pick out the Christian parts or see what God was doing. However it is best to look at the event for what it is. When the event happened, the people involved could not see what God's plan was so they acted according to the known facts, and that is how we should interpret the event.

Christians have a bonus on our side because we have God. We know he has his hand in all things past, present and future, and we are to remember that. We need to remember our bias and leave it out of the historical research as we discover new and amazing things of the past.
